LuQman M. Abdullah is employed with The School District of Philadelphia as a Parent Coordinator creating a welcoming school environment for parents at 34 schools in west and southwest Philadelphia; working with the principal to address parent issues and concerns at the school; conducting outreach to engage parents in their children’s education; and strengthening parent involvement in their children’s education. A former employee of Philadelphia FIGHT as a Prison Outreach Specialist & TEACH Outside Instructor. At Youth Services, Inc. his former title was that of a Family Preservation Social Worker, now he’s a Youth Care Worker due to funds being cut for Family Preservation Services. LuQman also serves as the Senior Vice President of Back To Society (BTS), Inc.

Mr. Abdullah has been involved in community-based economic development initiatives, anti-violence, non-profit community program’s organizational development and management for over fifteen years.

Mr. Abdullah has a record of success in proposal writing, program development, community organizing/planning, economic development, and commercial development/ entrepreneurial training, life–skills training, project implementation and job recreation.

LuQman Abdullah is the founder of Lambs Corp. (Learning Adolescents Motivated by Success Community Oriented Reform Program) in 1989.

Mr. Abdullah is the former Director of Human Services for Renaissance Community Development Corporation, assisting the President/CEO in high level planning, proposal writing,program development, grant research & soliciting, workshop facilitating and consulting services.

LuQman Abdullah is the facilitator of Frator Heru Institute’s Community Organizing & Development Course formerly taught at Temple University’s PASCEP Program.

LuQman is an Executive Board Member of Frator Heru Institute and former Advisory Board Member for PASCEP, Books Through Bars, Human Rights Coalition and MEE Productions (Motivational Educational Entertainment). He is a former Tutor for the Mayor’s Commission on Literacy, grassroots activist, author of many essays and lecturer.

LuQman M. Abdullah has a BA Communicative Science and Disorders, Honorary Master Degree in Religious Theology and a Certification in Community Economic Development.

LuQman’s mission is to the build community by developing leadership. He focuses on identifying leaders and enhancing their skills, values and commitments. He also focuses on building strong communities: communities through which people can gain new understanding of their interests as well as power to act on them. LuQman work at constructing communities which are bounded yet inclusive, communal yet diverse, solidarity yet tolerant. He works at developing a relationship between community and leadership based on mutual responsibility and accountability.
